... and he sent me to do an ultrasound right away. The result came back that the old one is a fibroadenoma but the new one has some mild irregularities around the edges so he referred me to a surgeon and the rest is the story you read in the thread. ... (18 replies)

... I recently saw my gyno for a breast lump (pea-sized, moves when pressed down). She felt it and sent me for an ultrasound. It came back negative, with nothing showing up on there (which confused me, because I felt something, as did she). She said that since I still felt it, I should see a breast specialist. Before my appt, I found another lump right next to it (I don't know if... (6 replies)
... uraghly, so when i was on the table having the test performed by the radiologist herself, she did say that she sees something in the left breast too and wants to biopsy to be on the safe side and feels it's just a normal fibroadoma because of the shape of it. she didn't say that about the thing they see in my right breast. ... The radiologist told me he's pretty sure it's just a fibroadenoma (he saw 2 masses on the US, said one is definitely FA) but the only way to be certain is to do a biopsy. Radiology report said "corresponds to BIRADS 4"... (7 replies)
... [Very familiar story. I had a Fibroadenoma *removed* through stereostatic biopsy. I swore I saw it disappera on the ultrasound. Within 2 weeks I felt it was still there. They wouldn't do another ultrasound that soon and said it was a hematoma. + year later ultrasound showed it was still there, as well as about 6 cysts, all in the sdame breasts. They also siad it was not needed... (9 replies)
... I feel much reassured. I would have liked a clear answer, even "Oh ... looks like another fibroadenoma getting started over here... " but insisting on a biopsy at this point would probably be overkill. Evidently there's nothing to biopsy! ... (9 replies)
... I think I have another fibroadenoma. :( If so, it's my 3rd one. I can't even feel a lump, really, but there's that familiar slippery-scooty sensation in the lower inner quadrant of my breast where there's not much breast tissue to speak of. No lump, but sort of a sensation of something clicking or sliding against my rib, if that makes any sense. And it's the exact same... (9 replies)

... Thanks, Anna! You're right, just the fact that it is so small that they couldn't even do a biopsy is a good sign! They said there isn't a lump or anything they can feel. ... (4 replies)
... d out good for you. congrats! How weird, I too have "some area of concern" that showed up on my left breast on the mammogram and the ultrasound. Went in for a biopsy and whatever it was that they saw was so small that they couldn't do a biopsy on it afterall. There is no lump, can't feel anything. ... (4 replies)
