I had a spindle cell sarcoma in my leg--it did NOT ever hurt, grew rapidly and noticeably (noticed big changes in the lump over several months) and my doctor excised it to test it. I like the way your doctyor is handling this... even though he feels 99% sure it is only something minor, he is taking the precaution of removing it and I am sure will have it biopsied. ... Hello Hillary - I saw some of your posts on lipomas and you'd said you'd never meet anyone with your type of cancer before. ... I have the EXACT same thing in the EXACT same spot on both legs. I am 49 yrs old and have had them for as long as I can remember. ... I totally understand. But you need to realize that stuff happens and you can't control everything, so enjoy yourself. This lump you have, I'm sure it's nothing and kudos for getting it looked at by a doc, but life happens and you should stop worrying and live it. Soft-tissue cancers are VERY rare.
