... That sounds like a lot to do for an 11 year old. Push ups, pull ups and weights may be leading to pain in the wrist and thumb. Have her stop for a few days and see if the pain stops. I have a niece that age and she's into sports, but I don't think she does any push ups, pull ups and weights. ... (1 replies)

... the one I was diagnosed with is DeQuervain's syndrome which if I remember correctly, is an inflammation of the tendon sheath lining of the thumb BUT causes enormous pain in the wrist, directly below the thumb. The pain was excruciating! ... (1 replies)
