... I just got results from Blood test today, his HDL was 39 (Still low) 7 months ago it was 46, His # was 248 , his LDL 160 and his Tri's 214, His ratio was 6.4 (better than 7.1) but still bad. ... He is already thin, waist is 32 inches. He rarely eats hydronated stuff. Mono saturated is basically Olive oil, right? We do use that , but others also. Jobs requires walking here and there, but it is not enough to get the heart racing, so I guess 20 minutes of rigorous exercise is due. ... If you don't want to go the meds route you could try Red Yeast Rice for lowering your LDL and Flush Niacin for raising your HDL. If you do the Niacin be sure to start very slow by cutting the lowest milligram tab you can find into quarters and increase from there. (9 replies)
... To try to lower LDL levels: Avoid trans-fats from hydrogenated oils. These are common in processed foods and fast food restaurants. Limit saturated fats, which are common in fat from red meat, dairy products, and coconut / palm oil. ... hello just wanted to share about my hdl when i was 26. just went to the doc for my knee so did test. also he said to test my cholesterol and shocking my hdl was 22, so he told me to excersice eat good and we will see in three months. so after 3 months it was 26 but not much. ... (3 replies)
