... In regard to the HDL level of 43. The rule for HDL is the higher the better. The HDL is the good cholesterol. I think for men an HDL level in the higher 40's is considered a healthier level. Women should be in the high 40's to lower 50's for a healthy HDL level. Of course, lowering the LDL and Total also makes a big difference. (6 replies)
