If he still has problems with Vytorin, then have him try either 1/2 tab...or have the Dr... (6 replies)

She shocked me, she was extremely nice, and said although I told her how sensative to meds I was, she never knew anyone as sensative as I was. You see, that's the difference between many of today's doctors and our old family doctor. Our doctor really did have our best interests in mind, instead of pandering to the drug companies. ... ... Stumper, You mentioned your thyroid, this is an area that I have done a lot of research in because I had a tumor on my thyroid when I was 33 and after surgery I was told I would be on replacement the rest of my life. Have you looked into the latest info? The old TSH scale was up to 5.5 and anything over that was hypothyroid and needed treatment but the organization the... (29 replies)
... Show me evidence in PUBLISHED STUDIES that show 10mg Crestor has more side effects than 10 mg simvastatin (Zocor) or 10mg Lipitor. Also.... My point, was that it may be the AMOUNT of statin taken which relates to symptoms and this may not necessarily correlate with the efficacy. A drug like Zocor or Lipitor may not be as good as Crestor (mg for mg) at lowering LDL, but that... (6 replies)
... others might not. Also, side effects can be more severe when a second statins is tried. CoQ10 can help alleviate muscle pain, as statins deplete this essential nutrient. Take a minimum of 50mg, preferably 100mg at the same time your husband takes the statin. ... (6 replies)
... Reducing carbohydrates in your daily diet has nothing to do with with a "low-carb craze." There is nothing crazy about reducing your caloric sugar intake from the "non-crazy" 55%-65% sugar level to the 30% or less "crazy" level. Carbohydrates are chains of sugar molecules. The only difference between simple sugars (carbohydrates) and complex sugars (carbohydrates) are... (38 replies)
