... Lane, I doubt very highly that Zocor has anything to do with her memory loss. Statins don't do that. There are 350+ individuals in the Cleveland are who had there arteries cleaned from Crestor and the paper reported no memory losses of any type while on a high dose of Crestor. Not all dosages shown but should give you an idea for Zocor (Simvastatin) and others. 10mg Lipitor 34%-38% 20mg Lipitor 42%-46% 20mg Lescol 22% 40mg Lescol 25% Lovastatin 10mg Generic 21% (4 replies)

... my numbers went from 124 to 135 so the doc put me on 10 mg zocor. I dont like taking meds but thought I would give them a try but is seems such a small dose I would rather do with out them and keep excising and watching what I eat. (4 replies)

... Depends on how high your numbers are. I don't know about Zocor but they put me on Lipitor years ago..10 mgs. and it did very well. Only reason I got off all statins was due to muscle pains and weakness as I tried a few others as well, just not Zocor. Luckily I lowered my numbers with diet and exercise. Are your numbers really high that diet and exercise aren't helping? ... (4 replies)
