... What colour is the phlegm? If its green, yellow or any sort of colour then you probably have an infection and should go to see your gp. You can try steaming with hot water to loosen it all up - you will need to do this several times a day to loosen as much as possible, and lots of nose blowing to get ll the stuff out.
