... The short answer is that cancer does not get better, only worse so it is probably 'roids. those usually are accompanied by discomfort or pain and itchiness but not neccessarily. If you are concerned it takes a doctor to look up there and make the determination. It shouldn't be embarrasing since not doing anything and finding out later that it IS cancer is the alternative.... ... Hey, no need to apologize...many of us have been there. You're going to be just fine. It's not as painful or as hard as people think...actually, both my 82 year old aunt who underwent it two years ago and me, who underwent it last year, didn't think the surgery was all that bad....in fact, I didn't use my pain meds after I got home.
