... Your bleeding sounds pretty heavy and constant for hemorrhoids. There are other things that can cause rectal bleeding besides cancer as well. I would see a GI Dr. and get a good exam with sigmoidoscopy or colonoscopy to identify the bleeding site. ... (2 replies)

... The ONLY way to definitively check for colon cancer is by colonoscopy. There are other tests which can check for more internal symptoms, such as a FOBT, blood tests, and a rectal exam. ... (1 replies)
