... Decide on Xeloda, 6 months later, when getting CEA test before last go around of Xeloda. Results come back showing elevated CEA count. Previous count was 5 and now its 9. If you have something going on with your colon, or GI tract for that matter, it is possible that your Hematocrit level might be low indicating that you are most likely bleeding somewhere internally... usually the first place to look is your GI tract. ... My husband has been in treatment for Stage 4 colon cancer for almost 11 months now. His CEA was 2562 and with FOLFOX, Avastin and a few rounds of Panitumumab the CEA dropped to 35 by July.
