... It's all about faith. And faith in your doctors. They thought mine was the same thing. Finally was sent to a liver specialist. He is amazing. He does my treatments even. Stay possitive sweetie. ... I've gone out running after mine. (Don't tell my doctor. :cool:) Did they cut anything out during the procedure? Normally that shouldn't even be a problem- in both of mine they found and removed polyps and even without sedation removing them wasn't painful. The pain you felt during the procedure might have been abdominal cramps, but I can't explain your infection... (4 replies)

Hi -- I just wanted to put your mind at ease about the sedation, my husband has sleep apnea bad and snores like a lumberjack on steroids, and he's had 2 surgeries and a colonscopy with different levels of sedation. No problem whatsoever. The doctors won't let you stop breathing! Conscious sedation is less risky than general anesthesia --of course any procedure has some... (25 replies)

... The only thing, or the main thing, I should say, that bothers me, is the sedation. I snore and don't know if I have sleep apnea, but I read of a study done in Philly in which some people receiving conscious sedation experienced sleep apnea! I guess I should my doctor of my worries.
