... By excision - you mean cut out? Yes, the skin was frozen, moles removed and she had stitches as well. My younger daughter had a mole on her chin, and it was also removed by a plastic surgeon - no scar. Her dermotologist wouldn't do it, because it would leave a mark. Word of mouth is a good way to find a plastic surgeon, also your doctor can recommend one. (6 replies)

... I would HIGHLY recceomend a a PS for the removal. I had one on my face "shaved off" by a dermo and it is still there just a little more flat and I hate it. I am gonig in in a few weeks to talk to a PS about it. My insurance will cover it as long as it is done out patient at a hospital. Let me know if you have had it done and what luck you had. This is purely for cosmetic reasons as they are not cancerous thankfully but just want to know what the healing process will be like.
