... I don't know what to think. The only time it went away was when I was on pain killers for a recent back surgery but now that I am off of the pain meds the burning is back. I would consider several things: First, some drugs can cause terrible mouth reactions like this-Steven Johnson Syndrome-and any drug you may have started soon before this began would be suspect.
