... I tend to think that the edema and the low bg reading were coincidental and not really related. Pitting edema can be caused by many things, among which are kidney disease and congestive heart failure. However, if it was a one-time occurrence and doesn't happen again, it could have been just that whatever you ate had a ton of salt in it and caused you to retain water...or it... (2 replies)

... a low a LOW for a non diabetic is feeling symptomatic. If you are hitting 3 but feeling fine, you do not count this as being hypo. However, being 3 and feeling shaky and out of it makes this a low. 7.9 could qualify you as diabetic, unless you are dropping rapidly back into range. If the reading of 7. ... (5 replies)

I don't have the results yet for the 1hr and 2hr levels, but the only symptoms I had was after drinking the sugar I felt a little warmer and became very relaxed and quite drowsy.
