... have been the english muffins I described. They do look kind of like a hamburger bun and you probably COULD use them for this. I find that substituting different bread items makes the meal more interesting anyway. You might find something you like more than your usual bread! ... (9 replies)
... Good point there with gluten free vs wheat free. I agree that some of these "specialty" products do cost a bit more, especially at places like Whole Foods. My Ezekiel bread typically is about $4 a loaf, so not too bad. I also end up eating one piece at a time rather than two b/c it is more filling to me, and then it lasts longer. ... Pre-made frozen GF breads aren't very good, IMHO. Although Whole Foods does make a decent GF sourdough and great scones. I've heard Gillian's frozen french rolls and Foods By George's frozen english muffins are pretty good. Both are available at HFS. ... ok.. another question... do any of you just substitute a different flour for recipes? I didn't know if it was a even sub or not. Recipes that i've come across are rice flour, xanthum, potato starch, tapioca.. I bought a chocolate chip mix but haven't tried it yet. I'm hoping to find some yummy treats to take on a campout so i wont' be quite as tempted to eat all the... (9 replies)

... Better to eat whole fruits and vegetables rather than drink sweet drinks. If you want low sugar vegetable juice, drink the original V8, or the original low-sodium V8 if you are concerned about the sodium salt content of the original V8. (9 replies)
