I am 23 years old and suffer from anxiety and emetophobia. I've always been an anxious person, but the fear of throwing up started when I was in 5th grade. I was able to overcome it for a few years but it started back up last May (2013). I was on vacation, got food poisoning, and for the rest of the trip I was so overwhelmed with anxiety from the fear of throwing up again, that it made me nauseous and, still, threw up. Now, I am currently on a vacation with my sister and the fear of what happened last May is stopping me from being able to eat because I get so anxious and afraid that I will throw up that it actually happens. I feel hopeless at this point. medication doesn't react well with my body. I've tried breathing exercises, teas, pop, crackers--everything. Does anyone else feel this way that could help me out? I'm desperate at this point.:(
Hi, fresh or pickled ginger has been a remedy for nausea for a long time. It is a natural remedy with no side effects and is worthy of your consideration.
