You're not really "awake" so to speak, you can obviously listen to commands since they tell you to swallow the tube, but you will have no idea that it is happening...... ... (30 replies)

Upper endoscopy

... sitive experiences for me. The worst thing is probably when they put the needle in your hand for when they administer the anesthesia and that isn't too bad. If you are anything like me, the medication knocks you out quickly. You sleep through the entire process and they will wake you as it is ending. ... (6 replies)

... The upper GI will certainly rule out cancer, not that I think you have that in the least and it will show an ulcer. Won't necessarily show gastritis but if you are getting it to rule out something like a tumor or ulcer, upper GI will work perfectly fine. ... (19 replies)
