What would you say is the average time to wait for a decision after an alj hearing?
I am in Indiana and I had my hearing Jan.18,2008 and the decision was dated May 6. I got the letter on May 7. Hope that helps and good luck to you.

Hello

I'm the one that has waited since Feb 20,2008.
My case just made it's way from the writers back to the Judge for signature, so I will know soon.

Lynn is right! It's a shot in the dark!
First they tell you 30 days, then that turns into 2 months and then that turns into 3 months....you get the picture.

I hope you are one of the fortunate ones and that it comes
in a timely fashion.

Robin
So far its been 2 1/2 months so I guess we should be hearing something soon.
God, you have been waiting about as long as I have!!
I feel for you. I know the waiting gets harder everyday. I am about out of my mind!
I pray we both hear something soon!!

Robin
118 days for me, almost 4 months.
I was supposed to hear a couple of months ago, but I supposedly got an On The Record decision and my file has been at the decision writer's since February 7th.
I could still get a letter saying I have to go to court, you never know what the judge is going to decide when it goes back to them for signing.
A quick recap, I have been disabled my whole life, filed originally in 2000, got denied after court in 2003, tried to work again, filed again in 2006.
