Back pay is for the time you put on your application for when you first became disabled say you were first diagnosed in may of 2007 then you would get back pay from may 2007 to the date they approved you minus 5 month waiting period so it would be 4 years minus 5 months All depends what's on your approval also back pay and retro is the same thing (48 replies)
