They said these are soft markers for down syndrome but try not to worry. They gave me another u/s and the results were the same for the heart but the nuchal fold was >5mm. ... I agree with the prior post - only an amnio will tell you for sure. Note that the nuchal translucency/fold test is a relatively new procedure and is intended only to be a screening test to determine if further and more conclusive testing needs to be done - as in your case - it does not mean that they have determined conclusivelt that your baby has DS. ... Hi, I have two children with Down syndrome, first congratulations on your little one! Did they do a nuchal skin fold test ( its a test that measures the back of the baby's neck) during the ultrasound.
