Ear, Nose & Throat Message Board

Ear, Nose & Throat Board Index

on the way home from a funeral in November I started to get really sick. Mainly blowing out a lot of thick mucus from my nose, and constant mucus in my throat, followed by a cough. I was sick for about two weeks, when finally OTC drugs seemed to help. Now though I have constant thick mucus in my throat and I have to blow my nose a lot even though mainly nothing comes out. What does come out is usually a little bloody. Im sure my nasal passages are very raw from the constant nose blowing I have to do. I have really bad allergies but they never act up in the winter, so I don't think thats what this is. I've never had mucus in my throat for this long, that was this thick, after being sick. I don't have health insurance or I would have seen a doctor a long time ago. Could this be something worse then a persistant runny nose that just won't go away?
