... Thanks Wozza. I am taking sudafed in the hope of drying the fluid up. I have tried steam, but that does not work for me. That happens to me as well, I will swallow and there is no scrunch and then it comes back again. Our hearing would be better again without this fluid dampenning the ear drum. Went to see a nurse last Wednesday and she said there was fluid behind my ear drums, and she said dont worry about it I get that sometimes and steam inhalation gets rid of it for her (like it was so easy). ... since you've only had it a short while, I agree that steam (NOT VIC) in bowl with towel over head - keep filling kettle and do it five times, is your best option. Oh and snorting warm salt water with baking soda from a mug over the sink with your head right back trying not to swallow.
