It was, in fact, the scabs that were forming/healing on the back of my throat. After about two days of this pins/Shredded Wheat feeling, it went away for the most part. ... Acacia: I think that 2 weeks off is probably more appropriate. Like you, I also have a very talking-related job, and I went back on Day 13 post-tonsillectomy. That was definitely the earliest I could have done without making myself feel worse.

I'm 24 and thought I would be able to just man up and get through the pain but it's the complete opposite. I was only put on morphine for days 5, 6, 7 for the pain of the scabs falling off as it's apparently the worst part of it all (the whole thing is hidious).
