... Teg and Topa have a slight interaction. Exactly how the levels are effected I am unsure of, but it IS printed in the Notes for Topamax for minor known interactions. Your Dr would do "Teg Free Levels" to obtain a more accurate reading of the Teg if you were on both at the same time. ... (7 replies)

I have been on Keppra for 2 years now,and as I have read on some of the older post people call it KeppRage.I can see why,I never realized it before,but my family has said that they did notice a difference in me since I have been on it,I have seen it too.Very short tempered.So,my doctor is now weaning me off of it,thank God.Never realized what was causing the difference in... ... i've only been on the topamax and i didnt get very far with it b/c i started having more seizures. as for the side effects, the ones i noticed the most were the lack of appetite and the tingling in the hands and feet. i would not want to eat for days and have to force myself to eat anything, which is very unusual for me. those were the only things that i noticed. but again i... ... topamax, and it does cause some weight gain but its not too bad. its all a matter of seizure control vs. side effects. i know topamax and and zonegran make you lose weight. i lost a lot of weight on zonegran, almost to the pt of having to be taken of cause i was too skinny. ... (6 replies)
