I had 2 petite mals in 1999 and also did not want the drugs and went seizure free until 2008 and I had seizures after 2 heart surgeries and a brain bleed, also corrected by surgery. Epilepsy medications amplify the effects of alcohol, and can make it dangerous if you have 3 or more drinks.
Personally, I drink some: I like alcohol, though I know it is not very good for me.
