... For cardio, 30 minutes is good, but 45-60 would be better, but roller blading counts toward this too and is actually much better cardio than a stationary bike is. Stick with 30 min on days that you do weight training also. For weight lifting, like I said, find a weight that you can only do 10-12 reps per set. ... First, if you plan on gaining muscle, you'll need more than 10 pounds. I'm willing to bet that none of those exercises is very challenging for you with that weight. You either need more weight, resistance bands, or better body weight exercises (pushups, pullups, one legged squats, plyometrics). You need to be doing 1-2 exercises per muscle group, 3 to 4 sets of 10 to 12 reps... (8 replies)
