Bumps on eye
Aug 1, 2006
For the last year or so I have been getting very red eyes mainly in my right inside corner of my eye. However, it does occure in my left occasionally. I have gone to the doctor about it and they could not figure it out and thought it was just allergies. The last couple of weeks it has been much worse. Much more red and when the red starts to go away it turns yellow and you can see a few bumps. It is causing massive headaches which have not gone away for the past 2 weeks. Has anyone ever heard of anything like this.

I don't know about allergy effects on eyes, but remember not all things are allergies.

A few years ago I got this little clear "blisters" on my eyeball.
Well actually they didn't feel so darned little you know...!
They hurt! Like pin pricks!
Really scared me so I arranged to see my Eye Dr right away.
Eye Dr said it was just Dry eyes.
Amazingly I never knew I could get little blisters on my eyeball.
He said it's not really my eyeball that has the bumps but rather the clear lens covering the eyeball.
Anyway he told me to use Visine Tears.
DO NOT use the Visine that "gets the red out" cuz those actually dry your eyes worse.
Just use Visine TEARS that lubricate and not the other Visine's.

I did.
It worked, blisters/bumps left and have not returned since I do use the Visine TEARs daily now.

Fast foreward to last year when my eylid developed a sideways twitch.
Stupid eyelid drive me crazy twitching sideways all day long!
Once again saw the Eye Dr and was once again informed it was Dry Eyes.
Apparently once they get too dry the eyelid will twitch in an effort to self message the eye.
Massageing draws moisture to the eye.

He advised:
Continue useing Visine Tears in the daytime and at night use Refresh Tears
(it's a thicker liq than visine)

He also advised:
Take a hot steaming washrag and cup it over the eye, keep you eye s open during this time.. don't touch the eye with it but basically enclose the eye in a warm steam sauna situation for about 5 min. (It feels ssoooo good too)

He also advised:
Use a baby shampoo (a no tears type) to make your fingers slide gently over your eyelid and around the eye skin areas, gently messageing. I do this for maybe 50 strokes each night.
The point of useing baby shampoo is that it makes your fingers glide easy, no pressure, and it will not irritate the eye if it accidently gets in the eye. ( I enjoy this self pampering)

I do all this every night when bathing in the evening.. and it worked.
Twitch is gone. ;0)

My eyes get dry due to medication I take.
I stopped the worst offender and still take a diff one.
