Hello everyone,

I went to my doctors last Friday as my right eye was pussing slightly and it was red and itchy, and it felt as though it was swollen. Anyway he said it was conjunctivitis and gave me anti-biotic eye drops. My eyes feel and look better (no redness) but I am not sure if they are fully better yet. When I wake up they feel really tired and dry, yet there is no more than the normal amount of dried up substance there, compared to Friday morning. I am not sure if wearing my glasses is making my eyes tired, as I usually wear contact lenses most of the time and I find wearing them more comforatable when working in the office on the PC. The problem is that I wore the contact lenses the day the infection started, and they were a new pair that day. I am assuming that it wouldn't be a good idea to use that pair again as they might still contain bacteria from the infection? I want to try a day with my contact lenses to see if my tired eyes are due to a combination of the eye drops and wearing my glasses, plus working on the PC all day. To do this I would have to try to new pair of lenses, and stop using the drops for one day just to see if there is any difference. I don't want to waste another pair of lenses though if my eye flares up again.

I'm not sure what to do. I just can't conentrate at work with my eyes feeling tired like this.

Can the drops make your eyes feel tired like this? My GP didnt even say how long to use the drops for - he just said once it clears up keep using them for a few days after.

Any help would be great.

Regards Jp
