Glaucoma surgery
Jun 18, 2013
Hi,
Feeling scared, diagnosed with Glaucoma several years ago. Left eye was worse, had some hemorrhaging and optic nerve atrophy. Last year had the SLT procedure. iOP in both eyes reduced to 14/16. Now my right eye spiked to an IOP of 20, and now also has optic nerve damage.

My Dr. said we could not do SLT in the right eye, but may have to do actual surgery on my right eye. I am taking Levobunolol 2times daily, and Lumigan once daily. I am allergic to Sulfa meds and did not tolerate Timolol-- because of my low tolerance to the medications, my Drs seem frustrated. But mostly I am terrified of losing my sight.

I am much better about my diet, and have finally given up caffeine. I do take supplements, but my optic nerves are worsening.

Any ideas, help?

Thanks.
