Eye & Vision Board Index

My eye dr explained that as you grow your eyes also grow and change. Due to all the changes in growth, this will cause the eyes to worsen and get more nearsighted. When you are in certain stages of your life where you have growth spurts such as teen years, you can experience a more rapid decrease in vision while some years it may not progress as quickly. This process slows down once you reach adulthood, and while there may be some worsening over the years, it definitely is a lot slower developing. Fortunately, once she's an adult she can decide if she wants Lasik surgery to correct her vision, something that has worked for many people. Or maybe by the time she's an adult, they'll have developed something better!
