The eye doctor diagnose me with blepharitis/meibomitis and its been a looong past 4 months and no success. My eyes burn a bit during the day and the top of my lid really hurts an my eyes feel sore at times. I've tried eyedrops-fail. An ointment for about 10 days, made my condition worse.

Hope you are doing better. Sorry to hear about the eye ointment giving you irritation. Unfortunately that happens some times. I hope you had at least called your doctor to inform him of this so that he could have prescribed a different type of ointment. The antibiotics can really help to eradicate most of the bacteria while your warm compresses and lidscrubs... (3 replies)

And in the beginning when I was first diagnosed he did not give me any antibiotic but he didn't really know what he was doing at all :confused: ! so I moved on the another eye doctor a couple months after that where he gave me some antibiotic ointment to put on at night. ... Do you have flakes on your eye lashes? Usually do with bleptheritis. Alot of people with dry eye have inflammed inner eyelids. Dry eye ussually has some inflammation. i have mild rosesea and bad dry eye. But my eyes are not red, my inner eye lids are red and this is worse when my eyes feel bad (dryer). I feel like sometimes its hard to distinguish whether my symptoms are from the meibomitis or the dry eyes, b/c they seem to have very similar symptoms.
