As far as seeing oil glands (meibomian glands), I see little white clear bubbles in the corners of both eyes (top & bottom eyelids) - I'm guessing these are the blocked oil glands that should becoming unblocked while doing all these compresses (but they are not). ... I boil the water first, then let it cool down and just use a washcloth for about 10 minutes. The doc says it isn't blepharitis, just blocked oil glands (I thought they were the same thing).
