... Hi you need to see an ophthalmologist, a medical doctor of the eyes immediately. Those lightning flashes you are seeing are possibly signs of a detached retina. Without treatment, this can become very serious. Please do not wait, call an ophthalmologist and tell them this may be an emergency and get in to see one immediately. Let us know what you find out? ... Sorry, I think I missed where they checked the back of your eye. I need to learn to read entire post before replying. I would think they would have seen an issue if they checked it. Please watch for any new symptoms though like a flurry of new floaters, flashes of light, shadows in peripheral vision. Those are what I encountered with the retina detachment. Take care, Jim (8 replies)

... Yes Migraines play havoc on vision. What is being done about it? Get that under control and your vision may clear up. Tension of any kind is not helpful to the eyes. Are your eyes dry and 'burning'? Wearing glasses for close up work is helpful and it does not cause floaters. People over age 50 may start to develop cataracts. ... Hi blackrosepetals Migraines can be 'silent', meaning they can occur with no obvious symptoms. That it happens at work is suspect. I wonder if you have reactions to cleaning products and so forth. I think it would be good to be seen by an ophthalmologist to be checked for cataracts. If you have insurance, they cover that. You might need a referral from primary care, I... (8 replies)
... Hi ebonblade, Just thought I would let you know that my Dr. phoned and asked me to go in again, which I did.
