... about this disease..an opthalmologist, not an optometrist. There are two kinds of blepharitis, anterior and posterior. If it is the latter, warm compresses and eyelid massage are crucial, and then it can take months. Also Doxycycline, an oral antibiotic is very helpful. It helps to put a warm cloth/gel pack/egg/etc on your eyes for 5-10 minutes a few times a day, then do an "eyelid massage" and maybe wash with baby shampoo.
