... Doxycycline, which is what this antibiotic is, is given for many baterial infections including acne, Rocky Mountain spotted fever, chlamydia and eye infections. Obviously she thinks an infection is causing your problem. I'd take it unless you are allergic to tetracycline which is a contraindication for this medication. (22 replies)
