... Did your doctor do a cycloplegic examination to see if you are a latent hyperope (hidden farsightedness) which can contribute to eyestrain during near tasks. Also, were you checked for any lag in accommodation (the inability to focus appropriately upclose) or check for any binocular dysfunctions?
