... This is an ignorant question, but what would happen to the lupus if you took the drops you've excluded? In other words, which would be worse--a flare-up of the lupus, or a loss of eyesight? As I said, it's an ignorant question because I don't know anything about lupus. (6 replies)

... Hi Scared, Let's see if I can reassure you. Eye pressure varies usually by the time of day. It can vary by 4 or 5 points within 24 hours. So the 20 measurement might've been significantly lower if taken at a different time. One reading doesn't say anything much. If your optic nerve is healthy that's more important than eye pressure. ... Damn, glaucoma?! High eye pressure? That's why I've never seen a doctor about this, nothing scares me more than eye problems, and getting blind.
