... Hello. My eyes seem to get redder in the evening about 6 pm. They are a bit itchy. When I wake up my eyes aren't red. Just the vessels show. Later it gets a bit darker around them. My inner eyelids are red all the time. There is like a line where it's red and where it's not in the eyelid. It has been so for a couple of days. ... Consider putting artificial tears in your eyes in the morning when you get that feeling because the itchy feeling could be caused by dryness. Also, you may have a very minor case of corneal erosion which often comes on upon awakening from sleep. ... (2 replies)

... Hello, I've read several posts on this topic but nothing really recent. I've been dealing with a red/itchy/watery/sore eye for almost 3 months. I only have this problem in my left eye. At first doc visit, I was first diagnosed with pink eye, given 4 different drops, tried allergy meds, and a topical ointment. It seems to go into "remission" for a couple weeks at a time... ... It's most likely an allergy, probably to something that is common in SC that wasn't where you used to live. There are several OTC allergy eyedrops that you could try. You could also try an OTC antihistimine like claritin or zyrtec. Tigg. (4 replies)
