... EyesTwo suggested you go to an optometrist, not an ophthalmologist. I can't tell you the cost because I live in Canada. Because of the eye muscle thing, a pediatric ophth would be the person to see, not because you're only 17, but because POs are experts at eye muscle problems and they do take adult patients with strabismus. ... A privite practice Optometrist would provide you with a Complete Eye Examination. This would include an evalution of focuing and muscle alienment of your two eyes.( binocular testing ). The optamologist said that the next 4-6 weeks will be critical because it is possible in some patients that a total retina detachment could occur, which would require major eye surgery to repair.
