It was at least about four months before the redness went down to the level they are at now. It was bloodshot where my residual veins were, and where the doctor sewed my eye after he removed the pingueculum. I didn't have a graft put in. My eye was just pulled shut together after the ping was cut off.

... Hi - where exactly is the bump that you mentioned? Is it on the white part of your eye? If it is, it may be what is called a "pingueculum" or "pinguecula". There's lots of information about this kind of "eye bump" on the internet, so it would be easy for you to do a search. Hope everything turns out okay and you don't have to have surgery. Good luck!
