... Happy to answer your questions... As to what triggered my bilateral floaters, no one can say. I was near-sighted all my life and had lasik surgery about 10 years ago. Both are factors for floaters as I read the literature. My floaters started in 2009 in my right eye and within a year, my left eye had floaters. I put up with them until others appeared in 2011 and 2012. ... (3 replies)
... Hi everybody, This is actually the first time I'm writing a thread. ;) I searched the Internet intensively (really, in 3 languages or so...) to find if anyone has the same eye problems that I experienced in December 2012 (and are still going on) but couldn't find the exact thing, so now I challenge you. ;) All started December, when I suddenly started to see a grey... ... in both eyes I get a blurry, swirling vision...it seems to be in the lower left side. It makes it really hard to read anything,,,because its moving! ... (1 replies)

... Every object I look at with even a slight reflection of light gets "burned" into my vision for a moment, usually I blink a few times and it goes away. I can look at an object even for a brief second, and will have the afterimage still in my vision. ... (0 replies)
... See an opthomologist immedidately. I recently had odd things in my vision and saw mine. When I called the doctor they said to come in IMMEDIATELY! ... (1 replies)
... don't stay there, they move, and it's almost as if they are twisting toward the center of my eyes. It almost looks like I have a dark colored warp in my eyes. My vision hasnt really gotten any worse since this started. I do get on te computer quite alot. Sometimes for 2 hours at a time. I have no problem reading. ... (1 replies)
... I just wanted to post about my experience of an onset of floaters in my right eye over the past month, at the same time as having a viral eye infection. I've had these floaters for about three weeks now -- there is one in particular which is almost like a tiny blood vessel and a couple of "dots" above it. This has started to "break up" so to speak, and seems to be... (39 replies)
... the morning and sore off and on during the day, plus I feel pressure at times. also, now, I notice a fuzzy round shape toward the top of this eye in the field of vision when I look at a bright light.......it feels like there is a film over my eye sometimes. ... (39 replies)
... Sorry to hear about your vision problems. The migraines you describe sound like normal migraines rather than occular migraines. ... (39 replies)
... Gosh I wish this forum was here yrs ago when I first started noticing the blue squiggles, I see hundreds of them and thought I had a tumor! I even went in for a brain scan and for the past 10 yrs have just learned to live w them because I finally believed it was not anything serious. Odd how they just came out of the blue though. I DO freak out when a couple of them get REAL... (39 replies)
... My Amsler grid is TOTALLY messed up. But then I had a central vision field test (Humphrey 10-2) and that was normal. So either the spots are too small (which I doubt since some take up several sqaures on the grid) or they are not absolute scotomas and I can still see through them a little. (39 replies)
... east corner of the field of vision in my left eye but I understand that is because I have a spot on the film that encloses the vitreous which is attached to and is pulling on the macula. ... (39 replies)
... Hi there I'm female, about to turn 40. I've had migraines with aura since I was about 10, though they are much less frequent now. Maybe two a year, with a mild headache, but I do get the scintillating scotoma and numbness on one side of my face, confusion etc. The spots I get start out as like the afterimage of a camera flash and then fade to a scotoma over a few weeks. My... (39 replies)
... Yes, I get those blobs. I also have scotoma scattered throughout my central vision and, yes, I have had migraine with aura since I was a kid. ... (39 replies)
... Do you only see the pulsating blobs when you are in a very glary environment - eg outside on a really sunny day - or after excersing? Are the blobs gray and do they kind of swirl like a propellor? if so, it's most likely an entoptic phenomenon and nothing to worry about. I've done a lot of research on this, in an attempt to find the cause of my own eye problem. As for why... (39 replies)
... Izzy...I have read all about that and it somewhat made me feel a little better. I just don't understand how it's so very prevalent for me but I ask someone else and they are like WHAT? And really I suppose I could somewhat live with that if I knew that's what it was. But what really scares me is when I see the pulsating "blobs" in my central vision. (39 replies)
... y is horrible...tons of flashy floating things. Pretty much always have my sunglasses on because of it. The scariest thing is when looking at sky in my central vision I see what I can only describe as heat waves in my central vision..or kind of like when water is waving. Anyhow... ... (39 replies)
... No, not at all. I don't have floaters, I have macular traction which just causes distorted vision in the affected eye. I'm hoping that one day it will unglue itself because I really don't want an operation going into the eye to snip the offending link. ... (39 replies)
... I should have said, sight remains as it was before the detachment. All that happens in most cases is that the crystal clear ball of gel separates from the retina so the visual path is not disturbed. In my case, as the gel (the vitrous) separated from the retina, it left one tiny spot 'glued' to the macula, causing macular traction. This distorts my field of vision and it is a... (39 replies)
... I think your opthalmologist should have said, "With your history ... the floaters are normal." BTW: I know Wayne quite well as I used to visit my software company HQ there. (39 replies)
