... Hard to say if that is connected or not - could just be 2 different things. I have that "shaking" (flickering) in the peripheral vision (like a ceiling fan) I use that as an example because once it was happening I thought the ceiling fan was on and it wasn't. ... Sounds like Nystagmus or Oscillopsia. Both involve eye shaking. I believe nystagmus you can acquire in your adult life. There is child and adult onset. There is more than one type, the less severe one being one you can get over eventually. Oscillopsia, I believe causes nausea and dizziness.
