I dont think tattoo's and piercings are gross. I have to agree with the other replys here. I have 2 tattoo's the first one I go on my 21st b-day, Where I live you have to be 21 to get it. My parents would never have signed papers to get one. So I waited. I dont regret getting it done. The 2nd tattod I got about 3 yrs ago, not because I was turned off, but becuz I didnt have the money. My kids have always loved my tattoos. My Dh had 4 tattoo's, which is another reason me getting more tattos were put on hold, he wanted his and he found the right person to do what he wanted, so I waited on getting mine. I have 1 tattoo on my shoulder blade and one on my upper arm. There are both about 6 1/2 to 7 inches long and about 5 1/2 inches wide. I am always getting people coming up to me asking to get a better look at my tatt's, I alwasy get compliments, and then the question of (did it hurt), I have never received a negative comment.

As for piercings...What is wrong with them? Every one is entitled to there opinion. I have my nipples pierced, I am pregnant now and plan on breast feeding. I have my clit hood and right and left inner labia pierced too. I dont not have Hep either. Yes you can get infections, sometimes its not due to the piercers mistake or bad hygine. I have had infection in my nipples before, why? Because I am allergic to surgical steel, I can have surgical steel in me for short periods of time but it can not stay in or I get infections. I took care of that by getting titanium and niobium jewelry, I not longer get infections.

As for my kids, my daughter wants her eye brow pierced and she wants tattoo's too. I have no problem allow her to have these things done, but I will not sign a consent form, I would prefer that she waited til her was legal aged to get it her self, Not because I am a hypocrit (misspelled) , but because my daughter changes her mind on everything so often, I want her to make the decision when she is older and if she decides later she doesnt want it that was not my doing. I dont want her to come back on me later and say "well its your fault I am stuck with this, you should not have allowed me to get it" . That is her decision when she is older.

You maybe be conservative and old fashioned, but you are also close minded. I could see if you were saying there is a point of to many piercing, I have seen people with about 25 or 30 piercing on their face alone. Now in my opinion that was way to much, but that was their decision to get them, not mine. The person who gets the tatt's and piercing is the one who has to like them and live with them, not you. If you dont like the looks of tatt's or piercing, turn your head and dont look at them.

If your child or children decided to get body modifications. Do you really think that it is going to change to type of person they are? Are you going to look at your own child/children as low lifes, degenerate or dregs of society just because they choose to modify their bodies? If your child was a homosexual, do that change that fact that they are human or the type of person you know and love now? Would you really love you child differently just because of the way they look? What if they were in an accident where they lose a limb? Is that going to change the way you look at them, or change the way you feel about them? Getting body modifications doesnt change that fact the person is good or change their personality or the way they live, it just changes their physical body appearance.

Maybe I am out of line for saying these things, I dont mean to offend you or anyone else, but these are my opinions and my views.
