Foot & Ankle Problems Message Board

Foot & Ankle Problems Board Index

I'm 3 weeks post-op from removal of neuroma between 4th and 5th metatarsals and a Haglunds deformity. My neuroma incision is on the bottom of my foot. I'm on Neurontin, but down to taking it only at night. I've had a burning sensation off-and-on, along with some numbness in my toes, but it has gotten exceptionally worse. It woke me from a sound sleep last night in absolute screaming pain. The fire seemed to start on the top of my foot near my ankle and spread down. I had numbness in all of my toes. Today, I can feel it coming back and don't think I can handle that again. I have an appt. tomorrow, but would really love any advice on things I can do to at least help minimize the pain for now so I don't lose my mind. This may be the worst pain I've ever felt. Anyone had this and know what the doctor will say? I really need help!
