hi, it does take up to a year for the swelling to go down. i am surprised your dr reccommended crocs. you should be in a tie shoe which gives you support. i could not fit into any of my shoes so i went and bought boys gym shoes because the are so much wider. i found them at target. i then bought new balance because the come wide. i love shoes and it really bothers me about the swelling. i then got a compression sock and i think that really helped. i then bought dress shoes a size bigger. slowly but surely i did get into some of my shoes, but wound up buying wide shoes from the walking company. my first shoe was a merril. its really hard, because i cant wear a high heel. its very time consuming to try and find shoes, but first you have to find a supportive shoe because that will also comp
you should call your dr and ask him about your foot. hopefully its not an infection. you still need to wear sneakers even if it is only for an hour a day. each day it mite be longer than an hour. dont forget about the compression sock.
