Foot & Ankle Problems Board Index

Hi all- I am now 10 weeks post-op on left toe and doing very well. I am back to work and walking fine. I also walk for exercise and work out at the gym. My foot does get sore after a long workout or work day. I still elevate when I get home in bed. There is still an overall bulbous swelling of the area which I know will be there for at least a year. My ROM is not the same and I don't think it ever will be as it is a shorter toe now but such is life. I do admit I have not been keeping up with the toe exercises as I should. My goal is to wear heels again one day or just a regular women's work shoe which is usually pointed or snug at the toes. It still hurts to try them on. I am still only wearing flip flops and tennis shoes. Luckily, I am in FL where you can get away with flip flops all year!

Overall, I am happy with the result thus far. Like Inquisitiveman, I also have sensitivity still at the incision site. Not so much on the whole toe anymore. And the sensitivity is getting better over time.
