I believe you!! I've had four ankle surgeries done in 3 1/2 years! Believe me, I know what you are going through. Mine stemmed from a car wreck on 2010. Ever since then I've been in multiple casts, 12 to be exact, a walking boot and many ankle braces. I've never walked without a brace and without some sort of small limp.

I did a bone growth stimulator when I had the first talus break in 2010. That seemed to help a lot. The rest of the subtalar fusion did well by itself. The removal of hardware came shortly thereafter because I was STILL in pain. And viola, come to find out my right ligament in my ankle was off. So add another surgery onto that.

It does get better. Just keep believing. I've had countless prayers, and cards, and well wishes. If it weren't for the love of those around me, I'd be wallowing in pity and stuck in bed.

Stay strong. It'll only go up from here!

Jessi:

Thank you for your kind words. Sounds like you've had a tough road also. I go to the doc this Wednesday and I think he's going to tell me I can put weight on it in the "boot", using crutches. So maybe I'm about 6 weeks, maybe less, from actually walking. Maybe by Christmas!
