Foot & Ankle Problems Board Index

Hi All, Just touching base/ I have been reading this thread and agree with the others as to the importance of having the right surgeon. Mine ( a podiatrist) did a great job and I seem to be mending well. I am one month post surgery and doing pretty well. I went in yesterday to have my cast put on.
Unfortunately I had been having pain (but no swelling or discoloration or warmth) above and below my interior left knee. My doctor removed the remaining stitches and sent me to have an ultrasound and an X Ray . Fortunately there was no blood clot. I am wondering if the pain is from the exercises that the home PT has been having me do.. ? The pain from the surgery is mostly gone with late evening random pains at different points on my foot.
I am to have my cast put on tomorrow and then 4-6 more weeks of NWB before the cam boot.
I am using a wheelchair and a walker but hope to be switched to a knee scooter as I think it would be much more maneuverable.
Biggest problem otherwise is cabin fever and boredom. Have watched the first 2 seasons of Downton Abbey filling in all the parts I had missed and have finished the first season of Homeland, read Cornwall's Dust and am still bored.
I continue to feel positive about the surgery and hope that everyone else is doing well.
Best to everyone!!
