... I'm sorry! I didn't mean you would be in BED for six weeks, just that for the first six weeks you will need to still elevate to control pain and swelling. That is why flying would be difficult unless it is a very short flight. If you can easily elevate at work then that makes a big difference. ... (17 replies)

I was braced all that time and the one time I went out without a brace to get my infant niece from the car my ankle went completely under and everything tore again, leading to surgery. ...
